OUR STORY
We are in Achalvanshi Colony, just past Golden City Hospital. Jaisalmer Fort is 1.8 km away, about six minutes by car, or a twenty minute walk if the evening has cooled down. Patwon Ki Haveli is closer still, at 1.4 km, and the railway station is 2.8 km. Close enough to walk back from dinner, far enough to escape the bazaar noise.
The building follows Rajput haveli architecture, but it opened in 2025, so the air conditioning copes with May and the hot water lasts through a December morning. Chandraveer Singh runs the hotel himself and is usually somewhere on the property.

Dinner with the fort in front of you
By the time dinner starts at seven, the fort is lit up across from you. In summer you get the sunset as well, since the light holds until about half past. We also serve breakfast and lunch, on the roof or indoors.
You do not have to be staying with us to eat here. In season, book a day ahead. There are only so many tables with that view.

GETTING AROUND
Distances measured by road from our gate in Achalvanshi Colony, near Golden City Hospital. Times assume normal traffic.
Five connected havelis built by the Patwa merchant family, with the most detailed jharokha carving in the city. Our closest landmark. Open 9 AM to 6:30 PM, entry around ₹150.
Sonar Quila, one of the few living forts left in the world. Thousands of people still live inside the walls, among Jain temples, havelis and bazaars. Best at sunset.
Station code JSM, rebuilt under the Amrit Bharat scheme. Pickup is free on request if you booked direct, including the overnight trains from Jaipur and Delhi.
A 14th century reservoir ringed with ghats, shrines and chhatris. Boating in the morning, a light and sound show in the evening, and the best sunrise photographs in Jaisalmer.
Royal cenotaphs on a hillside just outside the city, built from the same yellow sandstone as the fort. Quieter than the main sites, and the strongest sunset spot near town.
Airport code JSA, a single terminal on the air force base. Flights run seasonally, roughly October to March. Transfers can be booked at our front desk.
The Paliwal Brahmin settlement abandoned overnight in 1825, now an ASI protected ruin. Small entry fee. Worth pairing with Sam on the same afternoon.
This is the stretch of Thar Desert most people come to Jaisalmer for. We book camel safari in Jaisalmer, jeep rides and overnight desert camps at Sam, and we arrange the transfer both ways.

Answers to the most common questions about reservations, check-in, desert safaris, and dining at Luxoria Jaisalmer.
Two nights is enough for most people. One day covers the fort, Patwon Ki Haveli and Gadisar Lake, and the second day goes to a desert safari at Sam. Add a third night if you want Kuldhara and Bada Bagh without rushing.
Check-in is from 12:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out can usually be arranged on request, subject to availability. Message us on WhatsApp before you arrive.
